Managing bookings

The main requirement was to add new functionality to the app allowing users to manage existing bookings.

Users needed to be able to get an overview of their booking, view an itinerary, make payments and request support. The data available was limited to what was currently being pulled through for the web experience.

There was a parallel piece of work, that I was working on, to enhance the UI across the iOS app, so this needed to be incorporated into this feature.


Simple vs complex bookings

The experience needed to cater for simple, single product bookings right up to multiple bookings with several products and access to past bookings.

The booking details was broken down into tabs allowing a flexible approach for simple, single product booking and more complex bookings.


A phased role out

The ‘manage my bookings’ feature was successfully released in phases and gained excellent feedback.

The UI enhancements were incorporated into the rest of the site iteratively, giving an improvement experience.
